Welcome to Imagineering Fife
What is Imagineering?
Imagineering describes a process which places culture and creativity at the centre of local consultation and regeneration. It promotes the role that arts and creativity can play in developing vibrant, healthy, sustainable communities and environments.
Culture and democracy share a dependency on one extraordinary human gift, imagination. Imagination is
the key to diversity, to civic compassion and to commonality.
It is the faculty by which we stretch ourselves to include others, expand the compass of our interests to discover common ground, and overcome the limits of our parochial selves to become fit subjects to live in a democratic community. It is only a mature democracy that fully appreciates these linkages.
What is the Imagineeringfife toolkit?
The Imagineeringfife toolkit is a resource designed to provide those working with children and young people a range of creative methods that utilise culture and the arts. Using the toolkit ensures a better engagement with children and young people, helping them plan for their lives and to work towards the development and improvement of their communities.
Using the Imagineeringfife toolkit website
This website is for those who work with young people in Fife. It contains worksheets, Case Studies and links to further resources. These are designed to give both an insight into the Imagineering process and also
to allow workers to initiate and develop their
own projects.
- Case Studies: structured look at some existing projects
- Worksheets: practical exercise to get your project started
- Links: connect with local and national organisation and practitioners
- Standards: look at the agreed National Standards as adopted by Fife

Launched in April 2008 this web site
is constantly growing and developing.
We welcome all constructive suggestions
for improving and developing the content.
A second-phase of development is planned in the coming 12 months.
